The stage is set once again in Kuala Lumpur as KLP48, Malaysia’s very own sister group of Japan’s renowned AKB48, launches its second-generation audition campaign under the fitting theme “BLOOM.” This new round of recruitment invites young talents between the ages of 13 to 23 to step into the spotlight and join a pop culture movement that has captured hearts both locally and abroad.

With the first-generation members gaining recognition not just in Malaysia but even in Japan—where some have been invited to perform—this next chapter aims to discover fresh faces who can bring new energy and charm to the group. Managed by 48 Entertainment Sdn Bhd and officially licensed by Superball Co Ltd, KLP48 stands as the tenth overseas sister group of the global pop juggernaut AKB48, following in the footsteps of JKT48 (Jakarta), BNK48 (Bangkok), MNL48 (Manila), and others across Asia.

Aspiring idols of all nationalities can now submit their applications between 1st July and 1st August 2025 via klp48audition.com. Applicants are required to upload a short performance video, no longer than 90 seconds, showcasing their singing and/or dancing abilities, alongside personal information and other requested materials.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an in-person screening on 23rd and 24th August in Kuala Lumpur. Finalists will then proceed to the concluding stage of auditions scheduled for 6th and 7th September.
