Muslim Pro, the world’s most popular Muslim lifestyle app, has unveiled a bold new content initiative titled Stories by Muslim Pro. Designed as a creative hub, this platform aims to spotlight authentic voices, diverse perspectives, and experience-driven narratives that capture the richness of Muslim lives across the globe.
The launch was marked by a panel discussion themed Storytelling in the Digital Era, featuring Nafees Khundker, Group Managing Director and CEO of Muslim Pro, alongside award-winning filmmaker Abrar Hussain. Abrar, who also serves as a jury member for the global Stories of the Beloved short film and UGC shorts competition, emphasized the transformative role of storytelling in shaping identity and fostering connections.
“Muslim Pro has evolved far beyond its beginnings as a faith utility app into a cultural and spiritual companion that is trusted by millions,” said Nafees Khundker. “Stories by Muslim Pro is our next chapter, a platform where we shine a light on stories that inspire, connect, and unite Muslims across geographies, cultures, and generations.”
The debut of Stories by Muslim Pro was highlighted by the exclusive premiere of Madina: The Enlightened City, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Abrar Hussain, known for One Day in the Haram and One Night in Al Aqsa. The documentary, available exclusively through Muslim Pro starting 1 October, explores not only the historical and architectural beauty of Madina but also the spirit of humanity, humility, and devotion that defines the holy city. “Stories shape our sense of who we are and how we connect with one another,” Abrar remarked. “With Madina: The Enlightened City, I wanted to capture the city’s essence in a way that reaches beyond visuals, touching the very heart of what it means to be Muslim.”
Alongside the documentary, the initiative also unveiled Stories of the Beloved, a global digital content festival celebrating the lived experiences of Islam in everyday life. This festival bridges professional filmmakers and everyday creators, providing a stage for authentic expressions of faith in the modern world. The winners will be determined by an international jury of acclaimed filmmakers and digital content creators, including Malaysian creator Fikri ZamRi, whose involvement underscores the significance of regional voices in shaping global Muslim narratives.
Muslim Pro is also inviting the global community to participate in the UGC Shorts Viewer’s Choice Award, with voting open on the Muslim Pro app from 9 to 21 September 2025. This initiative not only highlights the diversity of Muslim experiences but also encourages audiences to engage directly with content that resonates with their own journeys.
Audiences can begin pre-purchasing Madina: The Enlightened City from 11 September and stream it exclusively through Muslim Pro and its video platform, Qalbox, starting 1 October. Shortlisted works from Stories of the Beloved will also be available on the platform, offering a rich collection of perspectives from around the world. Supported by Gobi Partners, Stories by Muslim Pro marks an important step in positioning the app as a cultural bridge that connects Muslims through shared narratives and experiences.
