Kuala Lumpur Tower is inviting families, tourists, and culture enthusiasts to kick off Visit Malaysia 2026 with a vibrant, three-day celebration from 16 to 18 January 2026. The event promises a unique city experience featuring the “100 Bear Exhibition” alongside appearances by the national tourism mascots, Wira and Manja, bringing iconic Malaysian symbols to one of Kuala Lumpur’s most recognisable landmarks.

The Tower has been transformed into an interactive celebration hub where visitors can engage with the mascots, explore themed photo zones, and enjoy live cultural performances. This experiential approach goes beyond traditional sightseeing, allowing guests to create memorable, family-friendly moments while supporting the objectives of Visit Malaysia 2026.

The “100 Bear Exhibition” features 100 life-sized mascot statues, comprising 50 Wira and 50 Manja figures inspired by the Malayan Sun Bear, a native and protected species of Malaysia. Strategically placed across the Tower Terrace, Observation Deck, and Sky Terrace, these statues provide picture-perfect opportunities with the Kuala Lumpur skyline as a backdrop.

For the first time, Wira and Manja will appear together with Kuala Lumpur Tower’s own mascots, Kay Elle and Tawa, in a special “Mascot Summit.” Visitors can enjoy interactive photo sessions, receive complimentary mascot hand fans, and marvel at giant outdoor balloon installations and the event arch at the Tower entrance.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, every mascot appearance will be accompanied by live traditional Malay Kompang performances, infusing the event with Malaysia’s rich cultural heritage and rhythm. These performances provide a lively soundtrack as guests explore the Tower and engage with the mascots.

En. Khairil Faizal Hj Othman, Chief Executive Officer of LSH Service Master Sdn. Bhd., highlighted that this collaboration aligns with Visit Malaysia 2026 by positioning Kuala Lumpur Tower as a prominent platform for national tourism storytelling. He added that the Tower aims to create simple, engaging, and family-friendly experiences that amplify Malaysia’s tourism message for both local and international visitors.

The activation is scheduled for Friday, 16 January through Sunday, 18 January 2026, with mascot appearances at 11.00 am to 12.00 pm, 2.00 pm to 3.00 pm, and 5.00 pm to 6.00 pm daily. Live Kompang performances will take place from 4.00 pm to 7.00 pm on Friday, and from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday. Visitors are encouraged to come for the breathtaking views, stay for the playful mascots, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of Malaysia at Kuala Lumpur Tower.
