Kuala Lumpur, 21 July 2026 – Castrol Malaysia is supporting Malaysia’s e-hailing community with the launch of eHailing Heroes, a new 12-month programme designed to make vehicle maintenance more accessible while improving the overall passenger experience during Visit Malaysia 2026.

The initiative was created with support from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC) and Persatuan Pengguna Pengangkutan Awam Malaysia (4PAM), recognising the growing role of e-hailing drivers in Malaysia’s tourism and transport landscape.

The announcement was made at Rom 8 Studio during a press conference officiated by Yang Berusaha Encik Mohd Akbal Setia, Senior Director of Advertising and Digital, Tourism Malaysia, and Head of Secretariat for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.

The first phase of eHailing Heroes will focus on supporting up to 3,000 drivers in the Klang Valley. Participants will enjoy benefits including subsidised Castrol MAGNATEC servicing, vehicle branding and access to Castrol Auto Service workshops across Malaysia.

Drivers who reach 8,000 kilometres of verified mileage will be rewarded with an RM80 Castrol MAGNATEC service package e-voucher, allowing them to redeem engine oil, oil filter and labour services at participating workshops.

With millions of visitors expected during VM2026, e-hailing drivers are becoming an increasingly important part of Malaysia’s tourism journey. They help connect travellers with airports, hotels, attractions, restaurants, shopping areas and local communities.

Yang Berusaha Encik Mohd Akbal Setia shared that creating a positive visitor experience requires support for everyone involved, including the drivers who help welcome visitors every day.

Castrol Malaysia highlighted that e-hailing vehicles face unique challenges due to long operating hours, heavy traffic, frequent stops and high mileage. Regular servicing is therefore important to ensure vehicles remain dependable and efficient.

Starting August, Castrol will also offer a 10% discount across its passenger car engine oil range to help more Malaysians keep their vehicles well maintained.
