Coca-Cola is celebrating two significant milestones in Malaysia this year, marking 90 years of the Coca-Cola brand's presence in the country and 15 years of operations for Coca-Cola Bottlers Malaysia at its manufacturing and distribution hub in Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan. The dual celebrations reflect the company's longstanding journey in Malaysia and its continued commitment to strengthening its operations, investing in local communities and creating lasting value for consumers, employees, business partners and the wider economy.
Over the past nine decades, Coca-Cola has grown alongside Malaysia, establishing strong relationships with generations of consumers while supporting customers, communities and local business partners. A key part of this journey has been the Bandar Enstek facility, which began operations in 2010 and has since developed into a vital centre for the production and distribution of Coca-Cola's beverage portfolio across the country.
Since commencing operations at Bandar Enstek, Coca-Cola Bottlers Malaysia has invested more than RM1.3 billion in Malaysia and created employment opportunities for more than 1,400 Malaysians. The facility has also helped strengthen a wider ecosystem of local suppliers, partners and businesses, contributing to economic activity while supporting the company's nationwide distribution capabilities.
Today, the Bandar Enstek hub is recognised as one of Coca-Cola's most advanced manufacturing and distribution facilities in the region. Continuous investments in automation, digitalisation and supply chain innovation have enhanced operational efficiency, product quality and business resilience. Among its advanced technologies is the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS), complemented by sustainability solutions such as rooftop solar panels and rainwater harvesting systems.
The company's digital transformation efforts also extend across its broader operations, with data, automation and emerging technologies being used to improve productivity and strengthen capabilities. This includes AI-enabled solutions supporting Coke Buddy, Coca-Cola Bottlers Malaysia's leading FMCG electronic business-to-business (EB2B) platform in the country, helping the company respond more efficiently to evolving customer and market needs.
As a Halal-certified facility operating in accordance with globally recognised standards for quality, food safety and environmental management, Bandar Enstek plays an important role in serving Malaysian consumers while also supporting Coca-Cola's regional operations in Singapore and Brunei. Beyond its manufacturing role, the hub has become an important platform for nurturing local talent, creating quality employment and strengthening partnerships with suppliers and businesses.
Coca-Cola Bottlers Malaysia is also continuing its efforts to support sustainability through initiatives focused on packaging circularity, renewable energy, water stewardship and resource conservation. By working together with government agencies, industry partners and local organisations, the company is contributing to broader efforts to advance Malaysia's circular economy and sustainability ambitions.
As Coca-Cola celebrates 90 years of presence in Malaysia and Coca-Cola Bottlers Malaysia commemorates 15 years at Bandar Enstek, the company remains focused on building on these foundations. Through continued investments in its people, technology, operations and partnerships, Coca-Cola Bottlers Malaysia aims to create long-term value while supporting the growth and development of consumers, customers, employees and communities across the country.
