KUALA LUMPUR, August 2026 – Midea is expanding the way Malaysians shop for home appliances through a new partnership with 99 Speed Mart. The collaboration, officially confirmed with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is set to make Midea products more widely available through one of the country's largest retail networks.

The signing ceremony was attended by Midea Malaysia Managing Director Mark Tam and 99 Speed Mart Chief Operating Officer Yong Eng Kwang, with Midea Group Asia Pacific Region President Zeal Jiang and 99 Speed Mart Executive Director and CEO Lee Thiam Wah witnessing the agreement.

The partnership adds another layer to Midea's growing retail presence in Malaysia after the successful launch of 18 Midea Brand Stores last year. Together with its existing authorised dealers, the new retail channel gives consumers more places to explore and purchase Midea products.

Mark Tam said the collaboration helps bring Midea's latest home appliances closer to customers, allowing them to shop for products like blenders, kettles, rice cookers, fans, toasters, vacuum cleaners and stoves during their regular visits to 99 Speed Mart outlets.

Lee Thiam Wah said the collaboration reflects 99 Speed Mart's commitment to offering more practical solutions for everyday living. By introducing trusted home appliance brands into its stores, customers can enjoy greater convenience while shopping closer to home.

The partnership also supports Midea's wider "Power of One" growth strategy introduced during its Asia Pacific Dealer Conference in Bali, where the company outlined its plans to strengthen product innovation, expand its retail footprint and improve customer experience across the region.

Starting in August 2026, selected Midea small home appliances will be available at 99 Speed Mart outlets throughout Malaysia. The range includes blenders, kettles, rice cookers, table fans, stand fans, circulation fans, bread toasters, toaster ovens, stick vacuums and stainless steel stoves.
