Dubai, UAE, 27 August 2026 — Emirates is set to introduce its next-generation Airbus A350 aircraft on flights EK344 and EK345 between Dubai and Kuala Lumpur from 1 September 2026, giving travellers in Malaysia access to the airline’s latest onboard products and services. The new A350 service will complement the airline’s retrofitted Boeing 777 operating on EK346 and EK347, increasing Emirates’ Premium Economy capacity in Kuala Lumpur to 52 seats daily.
The introduction comes as Emirates celebrates 30 years of operations in Malaysia, highlighting the airline’s continued investment in its products and services in the local market. Saeed Mubarak, Emirates Country Manager in Malaysia, said the arrival of the A350 would further enhance the travel experience for customers while giving Malaysian travellers access to all three of the airline’s flagship aircraft types, alongside its existing A380 and retrofitted Boeing 777 services.
Emirates’ A350 features a contemporary cabin designed to provide greater comfort, convenience and connectivity throughout the journey. The aircraft is equipped with 32 lie-flat Business Class seats arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration, 28 Premium Economy seats and 238 Economy Class seats, offering passengers a choice of cabin experiences for different travel needs.
Business Class passengers will have access to lie-flat seats and wireless charging facilities, while customers across the premium cabins can enjoy electronic window blinds featuring the Emirates Ghaf tree motif when closed. Digital inflight menus are also available through the airline’s ice entertainment system, providing passengers with convenient access to information about their dining options during the flight.
The A350 also introduces the latest generation of Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system, featuring 4K and 4K HDR displays with highly responsive touchscreens. Combined with enhanced connectivity powered by ViaSat’s Global Xpress satellite network and improved Wireless Access Points, passengers can enjoy a more seamless digital experience while travelling at cruising altitude.
The new A350 service also strengthens Kuala Lumpur’s connectivity with destinations across the Emirates global network via Dubai. Travellers flying from Kuala Lumpur on EK345 or arriving on EK344 will have access to a consistent A350 product experience when connecting to destinations across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, as well as the Americas.
Among the destinations accessible through Dubai are Istanbul, Lyon and Frankfurt, alongside more than 20 other points served by Emirates’ A350 network. With the introduction of the A350, Emirates continues to enhance its presence in Malaysia while providing passengers with greater opportunities to experience its latest generation of aircraft and onboard innovations.
