KUALA LUMPUR, 3 September 2026: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a strategic partnership with Porsche AG to accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) across Porsche’s mobility value chain, paving the way for smarter, software-driven mobility solutions.
The collaboration is supported by a five-year strategic agreement between TCS and Porsche. As part of the partnership, TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Porsche, focusing on innovation across manufacturing, engineering, operations and customer experience.
In a related development, TCS, through its subsidiary, will acquire 100% of MHP Management- und IT-Beratung GmbH (MHP), Porsche’s Germany-based management and IT consulting subsidiary. The proposed partnership and acquisition remain subject to the necessary regulatory approvals.
MHP brings extensive automotive and industrial consulting and implementation expertise, with capabilities spanning business transformation, AI, SAP, manufacturing digitalisation and connected mobility. Its long-standing experience in delivering complex transformation programmes for automotive and industrial customers is expected to complement TCS’ global scale and engineering capabilities.
K. Krithivasan, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Consultancy Services, said the partnership brings together TCS’ expertise in AI, engineering, technology and business transformation with MHP’s strong automotive consulting capabilities.
He noted that AI, software and data are reshaping the automotive industry, adding that the collaboration will help industrialise AI at scale for Porsche and accelerate innovation across its value chain to create intelligent, software-defined mobility experiences.
Meanwhile, Dr. Michael Leiters, CEO of Porsche AG, said the transfer of MHP to TCS represents another important step in Porsche’s strategy to focus on its core business while gaining TCS as a strategic partner.
He said combining Porsche’s automotive expertise with TCS’ digital technology and AI capabilities would further strengthen innovation, improve efficiency and enhance competitiveness in an increasingly data- and software-driven mobility landscape.
The partnership will be structured around three key pillars. The first will focus on scaling AI execution and driving business outcomes for Porsche through the establishment of the dedicated AI Mobility CoE.
The centre will focus on industrialising AI use cases across key mobility technologies, transforming ideas into secure and scalable solutions designed to improve operational speed, resilience and competitiveness across Porsche’s product and value chain.
TCS and Porsche will also collaborate to embed AI across intelligent manufacturing and operations, engineering and customer experience. The initiative will combine Porsche’s world-class automotive engineering and brand expertise with TCS’ capabilities in AI, product engineering, technology and business transformation.
The second pillar will focus on creating a platform for long-term value creation. TCS’ technology and transformation expertise will provide a foundation for scaling AI initiatives and delivering business outcomes across Porsche’s organisation and wider mobility ecosystem.
The five-year strategic agreement is expected to provide a strong foundation for both companies to work together on scaling AI transformation and translating technological innovation into tangible business value.
The third pillar involves the proposed acquisition of MHP by TCS through its subsidiary. With its established expertise in automotive consulting and AI transformation, MHP is expected to strengthen TCS’ presence in Germany and expand its engagement with automotive and industrial customers across Europe.
The collaboration reflects the growing role of AI, data and software in transforming the automotive sector. As manufacturers increasingly embrace intelligent technologies, AI is becoming an important tool for improving operational efficiency, accelerating engineering processes and enhancing customer experiences.
By combining Porsche’s automotive expertise with TCS’ global technology and AI capabilities, alongside MHP’s specialised automotive consulting experience, the partnership aims to accelerate the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions across the mobility value chain.
Deutsche Bank AG acted as financial advisor to TCS, while Noerr served as legal counsel for the transaction.
