On Monday 15 June, Generali has officially launched Redion, the new global brand for its Care platform that brings together Europ Assistance and Generali Employee Benefits (GEB) under a single identity. The rebranding reflects the evolution of Generali’s integrated Care business, which has operated as a unified platform for nearly three years, while reinforcing the Group’s commitment to delivering comprehensive protection, assistance, and employee benefits solutions worldwide.
Led by Antoine Parisi as Global CEO, Redion operates with more than 12,000 employees across over 190 countries and recorded an annual business volume of €5.8 billion in FY2025. Following the acquisition of Swiss Life Network earlier this year, Redion has become the world's leading employee benefits provider and the second-largest player in the global assistance and travel insurance sector.
The platform offers a comprehensive portfolio of services, including travel insurance, emergency and medical assistance, employee protection covering life, disability, accident and health, mobility solutions, as well as B2B2C and embedded insurance programmes for multinational corporations, financial institutions and global travel companies. By combining the strengths of Europ Assistance and GEB, Redion aims to provide clients with a seamless, integrated Care experience across international markets.
According to Giulio Terzariol, Group Deputy CEO of Generali, Redion represents the next stage in the company's Care strategy by combining prevention, insurance and assistance into one unified global platform. The initiative also supports Generali's "Lifetime Partner 27: Driving Excellence" strategy, which focuses on strengthening its leadership in protection, health and accident insurance through consistent, high-quality customer care.
Technology and artificial intelligence are central to Redion's future growth strategy. The company is investing in AI, data and proprietary digital solutions to improve operational efficiency, enhance customer experiences and support faster decision-making during critical situations. However, Generali emphasises that AI is designed to complement—not replace—the expertise of its global network of doctors, nurses, roadside technicians and local specialists who continue to deliver personalised support whenever it is needed.
For existing customers and business partners, the transition to Redion will be seamless. Contracts, service teams, service-level agreements and customer support channels remain unchanged, ensuring business continuity while introducing a stronger and more recognisable global brand identity.
Redion is also strengthening its presence across Asia-Pacific, including Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand, where the Group sees significant long-term growth opportunities. Supported by more than 350 employees across the region, the new brand is expected to simplify regional collaboration, strengthen local decision-making and deliver a more consistent Care experience for travellers, businesses and partners throughout Asia and beyond.
