KUALA LUMPUR, 16 July 2026 – The Malaysian International Food & Beverage Trade Fair (MIFB) 2026 has returned to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, bringing together key players from across the food and beverage (F&B) industry to discuss the future of food security, supply chain resilience and commercial innovation. Celebrating its 25th edition, the event, held from 15 to 17 July, serves as a strategic business platform that connects manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, investors and industry leaders while reinforcing Malaysia's position as a regional hub for food trade and innovation.
Officiated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Y.B. Datuk Chan Foong Hin, MIFB 2026 is held under the theme "Future-Ready F&B: Powering the Next Wave." The exhibition comes at a crucial time as businesses adapt to changing consumer preferences, sustainability expectations and increasingly complex global supply chains. Over the past 25 years, MIFB has evolved beyond a traditional trade exhibition into a business-focused platform that encourages cross-border collaboration, knowledge sharing and market expansion across Southeast Asia.

A major highlight of this year's exhibition is the MIFB Knowledge Hub, which features industry experts sharing practical insights on artificial intelligence (AI), automation, operational efficiency, business scaling, export readiness and data-driven decision-making. The programme brings together speakers from leading organisations including Tetra Pak, StoreHub, Subway and the World Halalpreneur Council, alongside celebrity chef Alan Coxon, who shares his expertise on building sustainable F&B brands. The sessions are designed to equip businesses of all sizes with strategies to remain competitive in an evolving marketplace.
MIFB 2026 also celebrates excellence in the specialty coffee industry through the Malaysia National Coffee Championship (MNCC), organised in collaboration with the Malaysia Specialty Coffee Association. The event recognises Malaysian coffee professionals who have gained international recognition, including Nas Jaafar, the 2026 World Brewers Cup Champion, and Jacky Chang, first runner-up at the 2026 World Latte Art Championship. Their achievements demonstrate Malaysia's growing influence within the global specialty coffee industry while inspiring future talent.
The exhibition further strengthens international business opportunities by welcoming country pavilions from China, India, Poland, South Korea, Türkiye, Thailand and several other nations. These international participants provide buyers and trade visitors with access to innovative food products, emerging technologies and new sourcing opportunities. Their presence reflects Malaysia's growing importance as a gateway for regional food trade, investment and commercial partnerships.
Beyond the exhibition floor, MIFB 2026 offers several specialised programmes aimed at creating meaningful business connections. MIFB ChefTable showcases culinary creations using products supplied by exhibitors, while MIFB Connect facilitates pre-arranged business matching sessions between exhibitors and qualified buyers from retail, manufacturing and the hospitality sector. Meanwhile, MIFB Launchpad provides startups with an opportunity to present innovative food solutions directly to potential investors, encouraging entrepreneurship and commercial growth within the industry.
As the global F&B sector continues to evolve, MIFB 2026 reinforces its role as one of Southeast Asia's leading trade platforms for innovation, collaboration and business development. By bringing together local and international stakeholders under one roof, the exhibition continues to support industry growth while helping businesses prepare for future market challenges and opportunities.
