Hong Kong, 27 July 2026 — Langham Hospitality Group (LHG) has appointed Nils-Arne Schroeder as its new Chief Operating Officer, effective 22 June 2026, as the group continues to strengthen its global presence and expand its growing portfolio of hotels and residences across key destinations worldwide.

In his new role, Schroeder will oversee operations across LHG’s global portfolio of more than 30 hotels and residences, while supporting the successful opening and integration of more than 20 properties currently in development. The expansion pipeline includes the group’s first hotel in Thailand, new properties in China opening this year, followed by brand-defining developments in Italy and Malaysia in 2027 and Saudi Arabia in 2028.

LHG Chief Executive Officer Bob van den Oord said Schroeder’s extensive experience across different regions, cultures and hotel segments would be a valuable asset to the group as it expands into new markets. He highlighted Schroeder’s proven ability to respond to evolving market needs while maintaining strong brand identities and delivering sustainable business performance.

Schroeder brings more than three decades of hospitality leadership experience spanning Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and Africa. Prior to joining LHG, he served as Senior Vice President, Operations – Europe and Africa for Raffles and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, based in Dubai. He previously held the position of Senior Vice President, Operations – Asia, Middle East and Africa for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.

Earlier in his career, Schroeder spent more than 20 years with Hilton, where he held various hotel, regional and brand leadership positions across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Based in Singapore, his most recent role with the company was Vice President – Luxury and Lifestyle, Asia Pacific, while concurrently serving as Global Brand Head for Conrad Hotels & Resorts.

Throughout his career, Schroeder has gained extensive expertise in commercial performance, brand positioning, business development and hotel openings. His broad experience is expected to support LHG as it navigates the complexities of expanding its portfolio across diverse markets, brands and operating environments.

Based at LHG’s headquarters in Hong Kong, Schroeder will report directly to Bob van den Oord. In addition to overseeing operations for more than 50 existing and pipeline properties, his responsibilities will also cover Group Operations as well as Quality & Sustainability.

Through his expanded remit, Schroeder will play a key role in supporting operational excellence, enhancing guest experiences and driving the continued growth of Langham Hospitality Group’s global portfolio. His appointment marks another significant step in the group’s efforts to deliver consistent service standards while expanding its luxury and lifestyle hospitality brands to new destinations.
