Subang Jaya, 2 July 2026
Taylor’s Education Group has marked a new milestone in its educational journey with the groundbreaking of Haus on 15, a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development that will transform the historic Taylor’s College SS15 campus into a modern student living community. The redevelopment reflects the institution’s commitment to meeting the evolving needs of students by creating an environment that supports learning, wellbeing and community beyond the classroom.

Located in the heart of Subang Jaya’s renowned education hub, Haus on 15 is being developed by Taylor’s Assets, the property investment and asset management arm of Taylor’s Education Group, in collaboration with Gamuda Land. The project combines Taylor’s deep understanding of student needs with Gamuda Land’s expertise in developing integrated urban communities, creating a future-ready living environment designed to enhance the overall student experience.

The purpose-built student accommodation will be professionally managed by Taylor’s Hostel Management (THM), Malaysia’s leading and only internationally award-winning PBSA operator. THM recently received three prestigious honours at the Asia-Pacific Student Accommodation Association (APSAA) Awards 2026, recognising its excellence in delivering safe, inclusive and holistic student living experiences that promote both academic success and personal development.

The groundbreaking ceremony also served as a celebration of the SS15 campus’ rich legacy, bringing together long-time partners, stakeholders and members of the Taylor’s community who have contributed to the institution’s growth over the decades. Since opening its Subang Jaya campus in 1990, Taylor’s College has educated generations of local and international students, many of whom have gone on to become influential leaders in business, government, entrepreneurship and various professional fields.

Among the college’s distinguished alumni are Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) and Segambut Member of Parliament YB Hannah Yeoh, Secret Recipe Group Chief Executive Officer Patrick Sim, and Asia Mobiliti Technologies Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Ramachandran Muniandy. Their achievements reflect the lasting impact Taylor’s College has had in shaping future leaders and innovators across different industries.

According to Taylor’s Education Group Executive Chairman Dato’ Loy Teik Ngan, the redevelopment represents an opportunity to preserve the legacy of the SS15 campus while creating a vibrant student community that enriches the educational experience. Gamuda Land Chief Executive Officer Gim Teck Yew added that the project honours the site's history while responding to the changing needs of today's students and urban communities through thoughtful placemaking and sustainable development.

Haus on 15 is strategically positioned within one of Malaysia’s most established higher education corridors, surrounded by institutions such as Taylor’s University, Monash University Malaysia, Sunway University, INTI International College and SEGi College Subang Jaya. As the area continues attracting a growing international student population, the redevelopment reinforces Taylor’s belief that education extends beyond lecture halls, with well-designed living environments playing a vital role in fostering connection, wellbeing and a strong sense of belonging for future generations.
