Dubai, UAE, 11 August 2026 — Emirates is strengthening its commitment to providing customers with greater flexibility, choice and peace of mind through a series of travel benefits designed to make journeys more convenient. From flexible booking options and reduced refund fees to comprehensive travel insurance and enhanced loyalty rewards, the airline is giving travellers more confidence from the moment they make a booking until they reach their destination.
1. Unlimited Free Date Changes to Dubai
Starting 10 August 2026, customers travelling to Dubai can change their travel dates as many times as needed without paying a change fee across eligible fare types. The benefit applies to Saver through Flex fares in Economy Class, as well as Special, Saver and Flex fares in Business Class. Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class fares continue to offer full flexibility, giving travellers greater freedom to adjust their plans when circumstances change.
2. Lower-Cost Refunds for Greater Flexibility
Emirates has also reduced refund fees for flights to Dubai, allowing customers to cancel eligible bookings at a lower cost. Refund fees are set at US$50 for Economy Saver fares and US$25 for Economy Flex fares. For Business Class, the fees are US$50 for Special and Saver fares and US$25 for Flex fares. Combined with unlimited free date changes, the reduced fees give customers more options when they need to modify or reconsider their travel plans.
3. One Free Date Change Across the Emirates Network
Customers travelling across the Emirates network can also enjoy one free date change on tickets booked from 2 April 2026, including journeys that connect through Dubai. Travellers can further hold a fare for up to 24 hours at no additional cost while finalising their plans. This added flexibility allows customers more time to make decisions without immediately committing to a fixed travel date.
4. Comprehensive Travel Cover
Emirates' Comprehensive Travel Cover provides protection across a wide range of travel situations and is positioned as an industry-first insurance offering. The cover includes additional conflict protection, reimbursement of medical expenses of up to US$25,000 and a complimentary trip extension of up to 30 days. Customers are also covered for trip cancellation, baggage delays and loss, unlimited worldwide medical expenses and emergency evacuation.
Available across 27 countries, the insurance can be purchased when making a booking through emirates.com or added to an existing reservation through Manage Booking. In the event of flight disruptions, Emirates will provide accommodation support for affected customers and assist with rebooking to their final destination at no additional cost when services or onward connections are disrupted, including cases involving airspace restrictions.
5. More Flexibility and Savings for Emirates Skywards Members
Emirates Skywards members can enjoy additional benefits aimed at helping them progress through membership tiers while making greater savings on flights and services. Until 31 August 2026, members can benefit from a 20% reduction in the Tier Miles required to reach Silver, Gold and Platinum status, alongside a 20% bonus on Tier Miles earned from eligible Emirates and flydubai flights.
Members can also enjoy greater value through Cash+Miles, with a special conversion rate of 2,000 Miles for US$30, compared with the usual US$15, when using Miles towards Emirates or flydubai flights, excess baggage, lounge access and seat selection.
Through these five initiatives, Emirates is giving travellers greater control over their journeys while providing additional support when plans change unexpectedly. By combining flexible booking policies, lower refund costs, travel protection and enhanced loyalty benefits, the airline continues to focus on creating a more reassuring and customer-friendly travel experience.
