Generali Malaysia has launched its first accelerator programme, the Generali Growth & Innovation Programme (GROW 2026), marking a new step in the company’s efforts to accelerate innovation across Malaysia’s insurance, health and protection ecosystem. Developed specifically for the Malaysian market, the programme is designed to support startups working on solutions that can address evolving industry needs and improve outcomes for consumers.
GROW 2026 is open to Malaysian insurtech, healthtech and medtech startups, as well as businesses developing adjacent technologies with clear potential to deliver meaningful insurance outcomes. Through the programme, Generali Malaysia aims to identify promising innovations that can contribute to a more accessible, affordable and relevant protection landscape for Malaysians.
According to Generali Insurance Malaysia Berhad Chief Executive Officer and Country Head of Generali Entities in Malaysia, Fabrice Benard, the programme reflects the company’s commitment to working closely with startups and becoming an active partner within Malaysia’s growing innovation ecosystem. With the support of Artem PACE, which brings accelerator expertise to the initiative, GROW 2026 is designed to provide participating startups with practical guidance and the resources needed to turn innovative ideas into scalable solutions.
One of the key features of GROW 2026 is direct access to Generali Malaysia’s leadership team, alongside structured mentorship and industry guidance. Selected startups will have the opportunity to strengthen their product-market fit, explore potential commercial partnerships and prepare for future investment opportunities through a programme tailored to the specific needs of Malaysia’s innovation landscape.
Throughout the programme, participants will take part in workshops and receive strategic mentorship from industry and ecosystem leaders. The sessions will cover areas including product development, the insurance value chain, go-to-market strategies, compliance and governance, financial planning, fundraising and other critical aspects of building a sustainable business.
The programme will conclude with a Demo Day, where shortlisted startups will present their solutions to Generali Malaysia and a selected panel of judges. Top-performing teams will have the opportunity to receive cash prizes, providing non-dilutive funding that can help accelerate their business development and growth.
Beyond supporting individual startups, GROW 2026 is also intended to encourage greater collaboration between startups, insurers, investors and other industry stakeholders. By creating stronger connections across the ecosystem, Generali Malaysia hopes to encourage the development and adoption of innovative solutions that can enhance customer experiences and expand access to insurance and protection.
The initiative also highlights Generali Malaysia’s broader ambition to contribute to the future development of the country’s insurance sector. Through collaboration with emerging technology companies, the company aims to help bring forward solutions that make insurance and protection more accessible, affordable and relevant to the changing needs of Malaysians.
Startups with innovative solutions that have the potential to shape the future of insurance, health and protection are invited to apply for GROW 2026. The programme represents an opportunity for emerging businesses to gain industry exposure, access expert mentorship and explore pathways towards commercialisation and investment readiness.
