KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, 11 Sep 2026 —
What began with a simple challenge to see how quickly Malaysians could spot a hidden Google Pixel Plushie evolved into seven weeks of friendly competition, as participants raced against the clock, climbed the nationwide leaderboard and invited friends to join the experience for a chance to win Google Pixel prizes.

After five increasingly challenging levels, the Pixel Spotter Challenge has officially concluded with 11 winners across its Game and Referral categories. Among the prizes claimed were the Google Pixel 10a, Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a, marking a celebratory finale to the Google Pixel Football Campaign, which ran from 15 June to 31 July 2026.

More than a competition centred on leaderboard rankings, the challenge encouraged Malaysians to have fun, test their observation and speed skills, and share the experience with friends. The Referral category in particular added a social dimension to the campaign, rewarding participants who brought others into the game through personalised referral links.

One of the Referral category winners, Subas Segar, said his participation was driven simply by wanting his friends to experience the challenge. After inviting them to take part, the growing number of participants made the game more engaging as they compared scores and challenged one another. His eventual win of a pair of Pixel Buds 2a came as an unexpected bonus, turning a shared online experience into a memorable prize.

The Pixel Spotter Challenge formed part of the wider Google Pixel Football Campaign, which brought football-themed activities, interactive experiences and exclusive collectibles to Malaysians throughout the campaign period. Participants competed across five levels, with points awarded according to their speed and accuracy in locating hidden Google Pixel Plushies.

Beyond the digital challenge, eligible customers who purchased selected Google Pixel devices from participating retail and telco partners could also redeem limited-edition football-themed merchandise while stocks lasted. One of the campaign's highlights was the Football Edition Google Pixel Plushie, with only 200 units available nationwide.

Featuring a football jersey inspired by Google's signature blue, red, yellow and green colour palette, the limited-edition collectible gave the familiar Google Pixel Plushie a football-inspired makeover and offered fans another way to celebrate the campaign beyond the digital experience.

By combining football, gaming and social participation, the Pixel Spotter Challenge created an engaging experience that encouraged Malaysians to play, compete and share. With five levels completed and 11 winners taking home Google Pixel prizes, the campaign has now reached its finale, leaving participants with more than just leaderboard positions — but also memories and prizes from a uniquely playful Google Pixel experience.
